It is hard to find any free time for doing my homework assignments, let alone writing out blog posts, so I definitely have some catching up to do. This post is going to cover August 6 and 7 – AKA the days that cover our journey and arrival to England!
Brideshead Revisited by Evelyn Waugh is the sixth and final novel for my Oxford travel course! Though I ended up really liking all of the novels that have been assigned to us, I have to say that this one might have been my favorite.
It’s impossible to fit everything I would want to do in London into one weekend. But I feel like I at least need to take advantage of the fact that I’m so close to this place that I’ve only dreamed about visiting for years. I have no idea how realistic this itinerary is, but here is an extremely narrow list of what I would hope to see and do during my short time in London:
My three weeks abroad are going to be very busy. I’ll have class in the morning on Monday through Thursday, and the afternoons are going to be filled with Oxford-centric activities, such as touring museums and colleges. Fridays are dedicated to excursions to places such as Warwick, Bath, and Canterbury. However, our weekends are completely free and I might very well have some time available during the weekday afternoons. I’m hoping to discover some places outside Oxford if given the opportunity.
Here a few possible destinations that I wouldn’t mind seeing during my time in England!
